As one door closes…
It’s been a bit since I have been able to sit behind the computer and thoughtfully communicate what has been happening with this female music producer. So much to share party people. There are many wonderful changes complimenting the air as of late. As I close my eyes and meditate – my spirit smiles, my heart pounds, I am overwhelmed with the feeling that everyone getting closer and closer to – bliss.
It is happening all around me. Transitions at my day job that have me attending cocktail send off sessions, wishing love and light to those with beautiful smiles on their faces as they embrace their next desire. Transitions at school as each of use take the next step towards that stage. Transitions of DJs who have been in the scene for many moons, resting the headphones and picking up writing, art, or simply a break, if you will. Changes everywhere I turn.
With this in mind, I come to you with my own change. As of early this week, I am an official graduate of Icon Collective. After many months of dedication in the studio – months of discovering my potential, my sound, my path – I continue on with one mantra in mind – this is who I AM and MEANT TO BE. For this experience has, in many ways, molded the person I have been all along. A creative artist with big soulful eyes looking at the world with a high sense of magic.
Although the program has concluded, my experience at Icon has not. Yes, there is more.
Another door opens!
Last night as we turned in our final papers and our final projects, David Alexander (co-founder of Icon Collective) made a special announcement to all of us. This summer a new visual arts program is being launched. A new 10 week course that focuses on learning the skills to design a logo, program websites, design and market banners, and film and edit videos. A course that is focused on empowering the musician with skills needed with 21st century technology.
He highlighted that the new instructor selected is someone who has professionally been in art, design, and technology for nearly a decade. Someone who has taught technology for years. Someone who is also a music producer and skillfully constructed an impressive syllabus for the programs direction.
Yes loves, the instructor is yours truly, Moving in Stereo. Cut to the next chapter of my musical path… for I am now officially a part of the Icon Collective family in more ways than one. Not only will I have the opportunity to share my years of experience with many, I will also be surrounded with nothing but the energy that is all about the music. I am home.
I am beyond excited to teach. For now, I will be doing so after work for a couple of days per week. Where my path goes from here – well we will find out together. All I know is that I consider this an honor and look upon it as that curling finger from the universe beckoning – come here Christine. This is the next step.
And as the universe states YES what is ahead?
You know it is interesting. Our graduating class had a lovely dinner where we congratulated one another for all the long hours of study and practice, toasted to the present moment and our desired futures, smiled at one another as we collectively embrace who we are. In this moment we attempted to say goodbye – but it did not feel natural. For you see – it is not the end. It is but the beginning and many of us will stay in contact, perform together, wink at each-other as we bump into one another at random scenes. Many of us will continue to come into each others studios to collaborate. The only difference now is that we now have the skills to do so.
Those of you who know me know that I am always talking about the power of our thoughts, desire, and words. I often speak of how the universe always says YES to anything you tell yourself and others. If you believe the world is wicked – then yes loves, it is. If you believe you are a STAR – then guess what, you are! If you believe the world is beautiful – IT IS!
I bring this up as this is what I contemplate as I embrace my next chapter. I have a feeling (and remember I am asking for it) that I will be transitioning into music more rapidly, successfully, and warmly. With this new opportunity, I have a feeling a wonderful surprise is coming up that will help to illuminate the path more and more. Plus, there are so many wonderful projects I am working on. From a new online show, to my debut album, to … well, more on all that in my next blog entry.
For now loves I wanted to take a moment to share what is happening (in part) with my journey. To share my mindset. And do so as a reminder that our life’s purpose is to simply follow our bliss. Until next time, much love and light to you all.
Always,
Moving in Stereo
